Zoa Swayne attempted to find similarities between the Flathead and Nez Perce languages in order to find out if a name taken from the Lewis and Clark Journals was Flathead in origin.  The Beaverheads and the Swaynes compared many words in the two aforementioned languages.  This interview is part of MS 756, Zoa Swayne Papers, held at the Idaho State Historical Society.
