In his interview, Moore discussed the death of his grandfather in a battle with other Native Americans of the Snake Tribe in 1855.  Moore also discussed and sang the “scalp song” or “victory song” of the Nez Perce as taught to him by his mother, who possessed a Sioux scalp.  Moore thought he was probably the only Nez Perce alive who still knew the song.  This interview is part of MS 756,  Zoa Swayne Papers, held at the Idaho State Historical Society.
